VEG NOODLES WITH MANCHURIAN

Today I thought of sharing one of my teenage favourite street foods VEG NOODLES WITH MANCHURIAN

 I used to prepare at home and enjoy myself with my parents & sibling and presently with my husband & in-laws.

Below I am sharing the ingredients required and cooking procedure.



INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

For making Manchurian

100 grams Cabbage

1 carrot & 1 Beetroot grated

2 Onions, 6-7 Garlic Cloves chopped

1 Capsicum chopped

5 tablespoons (tsp) Arrowroot Powder/ Maida (Optional) for binding purposes

3 tsp Cornflour powder

Salt according to taste, 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder

1tsp Sugar

Mix the above ingredients well and set them aside for 15 minutes

For making Noodles

Boiled Noodles/ Fresh Noodles soaked in hot water for 10 minutes (approx.)

2 Medium- Sized Onions Sliced

1 Carrot chopped into Matchstick cut

1 Capsicum chopped

For making Gravy of Manchurian

1 inch Ginger grated, 6-7 Garlic Cloves chopped, 1 Onion diced cut, 1 Tomato diced cut, 1 Capsicum diced cut

2 slantly cut sliced green chillies

1 tsp Black pepper powder, 1 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp Salt, 2 tsp Soya Sauce,

2 tsp Tomato Sauce, 1 tsp Red- Chilli sauce, 2 cups water

 

COOKING PROCEDURE:

Firstly, bring the kept aside mixture for Manchurian, Heat some oil in a wok or large deep pan. When the oil is hot, start frying the small fritters.  Once fried keep them aside and begin preparing gravy

Add garlic and onion diced sliced and cook for 1-2 minutes until the onions start to fry very slightly. Stir for a couple of seconds. Then add the sliced Tomato, capsicum and the sliced green chillies, Sauté on high flame for a minute.

Add 1 tsp soy sauce, red chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, sugar, salt and black pepper powder to the wok/ pan. Stir to mix the sauce and spices with the vegetables. Add the boiled noodles and fried Manchurian to the wok and mix them well.

Cook for a couple of minutes on high flame till they are completely cooked.

Serve them hot, you can put chopped Coriander/ Onion or Cabbage at the top for Garnishing.
