Sorshe Ilish (Hilsa Fish made of thick mustard paste)

Hope you all are doing good. Today I have come up with a recipe loved by most Bengali Household Families across the Globe. It's a popular recipe in West Bengal, India & Bangladesh.
I am sharing the recipe below, hope you all will prepare it and enjoy the taste and aroma of the cuisine.
Ilish (Hilsa) Fish/ Rohu (Labeo Rohita)/ Mackarel (Bangra) Fish [optional as Hilsa is seasonal] ---
7-8 pieces of fish
1 tsp black Jeera seeds
Turmeric powder 1 tsp (table spoon)
Salt according to taste
Mustard Oil for frying fish and cooking
Mustard Paste: this includes White/ Black Mustard Seeds 2 spoons, 2-3 Green Chillies, 1 sliced Onion, and water to make a paste by grinding them

Preparation:
Take properly sliced and clean fish pieces, marinate them with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder and leave them for 10- 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, take some mustard oil in a pan/wok; then fry those marinated fish pieces till they turn light brown and keep them aside
Next, take some mustard oil in a pan/ wok; heat the oil and then put 1 tsp black Jeera seeds to it.
Once it sizzles, add sliced onions, and chopped chillies and saute them for 5 minutes
After that add the mustard paste into the pan add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder and some sugar; then after 5 minutes add the fried fish pieces along with some water and allow it to cook for next 15 minutes to make a thick gravy.
Once prepared, serve your Soshe Ilish fish with gravy hot with rice.
